Mumbai City FC have bolstered their attack for thew upcoming season as they have signed Argentine forward, Matais Defederico. He will join Sunil Chhetri and Sony Norde to form the attacking force for the Mumbai based club.
Matais, who hails from Buenos Aires, Argentina, started his professional career at the age of 18 when he joined Club Atletico Huracn, which currently plays in Primera Division. In the Clausura 2009 championship, De Federico established himself as a regular first team player for the club under the management of Ángel Cappa. Defederico and teammate Javier Pastore formed part of an attacking formation that was described as fantastic by the Argentine press.
On 20 May 2009 De Federico had made his international debut in a friendly match against Panama. He scored the opening goal and assisted in the second goal in a 3-1 win for the Argentina team, made up of players based in the Primera División Argentina.
His last played for Chilean Club, San Marcosde Arica, scoring 1 goal in 11 matches.
