INDIA U16 TEAM CONTINUES WINNING RUN IN SPAIN




Indian U16 team, currently training in Spin under the watchful eyes of German Coach, Nicolai Adam, defeated Hercules CF, after being down by a solitary goal after Half Time. Amarjit scored a brace in the second half to hand Blue Colts their 2nd consecutive victory in Spain. Hercules CF, is a club that competes in Segunda Division B of Spanish League Structure.


Hercules CF were the first to draw blood when they out foxed the Indian defence and scored in the 34th minute. The scored remained the same at Half Time. The opposition team had a chance to double the lead early in the second half, but the opposition Striker failed to convert the penalty after blasting the ball wide off the goal post.

Amarjit slotted home in the 57th minute to restore parity to the scoreboard. In the 81st minute, Indian Team was awarded a penalty kick after Aniket was brought down in the rival's box. Amarjit made no mistake and scored his and his team's 2nd goal.

Indian Colts play their 3rd match of the tour on 29th  September against another Spanish side, Villareal U-16 at 10:30 PM, ist.

The U16 team, who are preparing for 2017 U17 FIFA World Cup to be held in India, are on an exposure tour and earlier had a two month training stint in Germany where they played 14 teams against various German Youth teams, winning 8, losing 4 and drawing 4. They also participated in AFC U16 Championship Qualifiers in Tabriz, Iran, Playing three games- winning two, losing one and Qualifying to the AFC U16 Championship Finals after finishing as the third best Runner Up.

Earlier on their Spanish sojourn, they played Elche U16 team and won the game 2-0.
