The Goan giants, Salgaocar Football Club started their campaign in the 2nd edition of DSK Cup against DSK Shivajians 'B' team, who lost their previous match against Indian Navy.

DSK Shivajians after the initial hiccups, started to settle down and hold possessions, with Mohammad Salah's effort on goal going off wide in the 17th minute. They earned a free kick in the 20th minute when Omkar Jadhav was brought down in their own half. The resulting free-kick failed to make any impact as the ball couldn't break Salgaocar's defensive wall.

DSK had a real attempt on goal in the 30th minute with a fierce shot, but Salgaocar FC's goalkeeper made a great save to deny the opposition any celebrations. The Greens too had a goal scoring opportunity in the 34th minute but nobody was able to make any connection with the ball inside the box.

The match went into half time with none of the team disturbing the score board.

Salgaocar FC came out all guns blazing in the 2nd half mounted two attacks on the opposition's goal within one minute of kick off but failed to convert any. They had another chance in the 50th minute via a free kick from just outside the box but DSK's defensive wall did their job to deny the Greens any crack at goal.

As the game moved into the final quarter, DSK Shivajians increased their attacks on oppositions goal with Nikhil Jadhav coming very close to scoring off a long ranger from 60 yards but the ball tipped over the bar.

Martin Scott found Shivajians' back of the net in the 85th minute only to be flagged off-side. Both the teams were unable to break the deadlock when the refree blew the final whistle and the game ended in a goal less draw.
