TRANSFER UPDATE: Bengaluru FC & Salgaocar's New Foreign Signings

Salgaocar FC have roped in Brazilian centre-back, Eder Monteiro Fernandes as their fourth foreigner for Hero I-League 2015/16 Season. The 32year old central defender played for Cyproit club, Nea Salamina Famgusta FC and was part current ISL Champions, Chennaiyin FC's 2015 squad.


The signings comes after back to back defeat of the Greens in last two games, where they conceded 4 goals. With this signing, Coach Malky Thompson would hope to bolster the defense that has been more than shaky in last two games.
Eder Signing means that the foreign quota of the Goan outfit is full. Salgaocar FC's other foreign players being Daryll Duffy (Scotland), Martin Scott (Scotland) and Calvin Mbarga (Australia).

Salgaocar FC travel to Mumbai for their next match where they play against Mumbai FC on 24th January.





Bengaluru FC, on the other hand have announced the replacement of injured Joshua Walker. They have signed fellow Englishman and mid fielder, Michael Collins as Walker's replacement.

Walker who was the marquee signing for Bengaluru FC last season, missed last two games due to a knee injury and faces a long recovery period, meaning he will miss the entire season. Though he has been de-registered from the team, he will continue to be a Bengaluru FC player.



Michael Collins started his professional career with Huddersfield Town, for whom he played 179 games spread through six seasons and scored 19 goals. His next spell was with League One side, Scunthrope United, where he played for four seasons, scoring 2 goals in 79 games.

Collins will be arriving in India in the next week, which means he won't be available for The Blues first home game against Shillong Lajong FC on 24th January.
