Albert Roca's long term ally, Carles Cuadrat will join him as Assistant Coach at Bengaluru FC. He is signed on a two year deal. Roca and Cuadrat were assistant to Dutch Coach, Frank Rijkaard at Turkish Giant, Galatasaray and Saudi Arabia National Team. Carles Cuadrat followed Albert Roca as Assistant, when the latter took up the position of El Salvador' National team Head Coach.
Carles Cuadrat began his life as a professional footballer in the FC Barcelona Academy from the age of 10, remaining at the club for ten years.
During this time, he represented the Spanish national team on 14 occasions at U – 16, 17 and 18 levels; including a 3rd Place finish at the 1985 European Youth Championships held in Hungary.
He spent the majority of his senior career playing in Spain’s second tier with S.E. Sabadell and C.F. Gava.
During the later stages of his playing career, Carles Cuadrat began his coaching tutelage as the Youth Academy Director at C.F. Gava for three years.
In 1998, Carles Cuadrat was snapped up by FC Barcelona, spending the 11 years as a Coach and Physical Trainer of the U-14, 16 and 17 teams.
In 2009, Carles Cuadrat was recruited by Frank Rijkaard to join him as an Assistant Coach for Turkish giants Galatasaray, where he spent the next 2 seasons.
In the summer of 2011, Carles Cuadrat agreed to leave Galatasaray and join the National Team of Saudi Arabia as Assistant Coach to Frank Rijkaard; Cuadrat left this position in 2013
Carles Cuadrat was installed as Albert Roca’s assistant coach for the El Salvador national team in 2014.
