MALKI SPORTS CLUB AWARDED REMATCH AGAINST BOY SPORTS CLUB IN SHILLONG PREMIER LEAGUE

Internet Desk | 29/11/2017

Shillong Sports Association (SSA) have decided to have a rematch of Round 14 clash between Boy Sports Coy and Malki Sports Club after Officials of the latter club lodged protest after their goal in the dying minutes of the match was cancelled by referee.

The match, which was played on 24th November, ended in a goalless which ended Malki SC's chances of making to the Semi-finals of Shillong Premier League as they were tied on points with Meghalaya Police but lost out the 4th position due to inferior goal difference.

Malki Sports Club had lodged protest in Shillong Sporting Association on two points. The first being the cancellation of goal by referee, who initially awarded the goal but later retracted it after the lines man called it Off Side.

Their 2nd complaint was regarding fielding an ineligible player and accused Boy Sports Company  of falsely fielding and impersonating a player who was not registered with the Association and thus violating the major rule of the Association and wanted the all 3 points to be awarded to them.

The SSA have looked into the matter and have rendered the 24th November match as 'null and void' and decided to have a rematch before the SPL's Semi Final fixture between Rangdajied United FC and Langsning FC on 29th November.
