Mizoram Premier League Season 4 will start its Round 3 from Friday 23 and THE INDIAN LEAGUE brings you the preview of first game of the round to be played between Aizawl FC and Bethlehem Vengthlang FC.
Aizawl FC vs Bethlehem Vengthlang FC
Aizawl FC, defending champions and winner of 2nd Division League, will be entering in this match high on confidence with two back to back wins from as many games. But they would be vary of the opposition, Bethlehem Vengthlang FC to whom they lost in the 2015 MFA Super Cup. This match was also the first competitive game of AFC under the new Spanish Coach, Manuel Retamero Fraile, who did not had a great start to his coaching career in Mizoram. His team lost a couple of friendlies against local sides and the loss in Super Cup only added to his misery. But the team regrouped well and adapted to the training methods of the Spaniard and the results is for everyone to see with AFC sitting at the top of the table after two rounds.
In their previous game against Chanmari FC, Aizawl FC were down by a single goal for an hour but managed to score three past the opposition custodian to win the game 3-2. This kind of matches will be a learning experience for the players who will represent Mizoram in I League, starting from January. They would look to avenge their loss against BVTFC in the Super Cup match and continue their dominance in Mizoram Premier League.

Bethlehem Vengthlang FC, Winner of 2015 MFA Super Cup and Runners Up of 2015 Independence Day Cup, has had a decent start in this year's MPL with one win against Mizoram Police FC, in which they were able to make a come back after conceding a goal in the 14th minute with the help of two goals each from Laldingngheta and Lalrinchhana. They played a goal less draw against Zo United in their Round 2 game.
This would be their third encounter with Aizawl FC in this season, with BVTFC winning the previous one, when they defeated AFC 2-1 in the Super Cup match. BVTFC would look to repeat their performance of the Super Cup game and go one up against the defending champions of MPL.
