South Asian Football Federation has announced Suzuki Motor Corp as the title sponsor of 2015 SAFF Cup, the Bi-annual Football Championship of South Asia. The tournament this would be called SAFF Suzuki Cup. The Championship will start from 23rd December and played in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Afghanistan is the defending Champions having won the title in 2013, held in Nepal. Afghanistan will participate as Guest nation as they migrated to Central Asian Football Federation in 2014.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kazi Mohd. Sallahuddin, President, SAFF said, "Today, football In South Asia is growing rapidly and we are proud that the SAFF Championship is South Asia's Top football event.This year we announce Suzuki as our title sponsor. We look forward to Suzuki's support in building the profile of SAFF Suzuki Cup and elevating its stature Across Asia."

Apart from the host INDIA and defending Champions Afghanistan, the tournament will feature Pakistan, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives. India is the most successful team in the competition, having won the Championship 6 times, 2011 being the last time the Blue Tigers had their hands over the Silverware.
