Mumbai City FC Signs North-East Trio


Ranbir Kapoor owned franchise has announced the signing of Jackichand Singh, Aiborlang Khongjee and Boithang Haokip for the upcoming ISL season.

Both Boithang and Aiborlang played for Shillong Lajong in I-League this season and were part of NorthEast United in ISL's previous edition. Jackichand Singh, on the other hand was part of Salgaocar FC this season and impressed everyone with his skills and also played an important role in India's drubbing of Laos in Asia Cup Qualifier Play Off match in Guwahati.

The Maharashtra-based club made Alexander Guimaraes their head coach in April and recently also confirmed the retention of a few key individuals from last season, including Cristian Bustos, Sony Norde and Sunil Chhetri. Argentina’s Matias Defederico further bolstered their ranks last week by becoming their latest foreign acquisition.
